Consider the rest of this article, and think about the opportunity that may just be for the taking.

One of the things that you will want to focus on when you are homeschooling is life skills in addition to the academics that you are teaching them. Book smarts can only take you so far, as it is important to prepare your child for what they will face in the real world.

Many parents are nervous and insecure about their ability to effectively home-school their children. To bolster your confidence, think about how much you have already taught the child you plan to home school. Chances are; they have learned everything they know from you, including important educational fundamentals like vocabulary.

Visit zoos and other attractions to expand what you are teaching your kids. Discuss the animals and their habitats. This could supplement a geography lesson. Additionally, you may think about endangered animals and what has happened to diminish their numbers. There are many applications to this, including observing the tourists!

Set goals for each of your children. You should have two lists of goals per child; one short-term and one long term. Setting weekly goals will help you stay on target toward reaching your long-term goals. If you have these goals written where your children can see them, they will be able to strive to accomplish what you have planned for them.

You can do what it takes to home school your children. While you may be a little hesitant, now is the time to embrace the opportunity. Homeschooling is becoming more and more prevalent, and there is good reason. Remember what you've read, and get started with a solid plan for homeschooling today.Ellcie A.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06218792868065224657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6273260485558290134.post-57188698967076330552013-03-22T18:10:00.001-07:002013-03-22T18:10:21.636-07:00Make Your Home's Interior Decor Dance With These TipsMany people chose to use interior design as an active hobby that enables them to mold their home to reflect their personal tastes and interests. If you are someone that is considering doing this, there is wealth of tips out there to lead you on your way, some of which you will find in this article.

When starting to plan your home improvement project you should think about what areas you can save money. If you can create your project under budget, that will leave you with money to work on another space in your home, or to use somewhere else. Remember that expensive does not necessarily mean better.

Take thorough measurements of the room you're decorating before you start shopping for furniture. Size is important. Measure both your room and any furniture you plan on buying. Just because it can fit into a room, doesn't mean it is of a practical size. Make sure that you're still going to be able to walk around in the room with ease.

If you tend to redecorate your rooms often, it would be wise to have furniture and walls that are neutral and then accent them with colorful, eye catching accessories. This way, when you next redecorate your room, you would only need to change out the accessories instead of totally redesigning your room.

Include fans on the ceiling of some of the rooms that the air does not get to as well. This can help to make your guests feel as comfortable as possible when they are hanging out in your home. Also, make sure that the design of the fan matches the ceiling, floors and walls.

As you read at the start of this article, there are many who slowly improve their home as a form of a hobby. If this is something that you have been wanting to do for sometime now, you certainly have found the information you need to get started on your path to a great hobby and a beautiful home.Ellcie A.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06218792868065224657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6273260485558290134.post-64985537416982833402013-03-10T19:47:00.000-07:002013-03-10T19:47:17.215-07:00It's Your Wedding - Your Way!Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. Current laser technology is able to safely and effectively remove tattoos with a minimum of side effects – primarily swelling and redness for a few days after the removal procedure. Most tattoos need 3 to 10 procedures to remove the tattoo completely, with more treatments generally required for newer and brighter tattoos, and fewer treatments needed for older and more dull tattoos.
But why would a patient wish to have a tattoo removed? Tattoo removal clinics remove a wide range of tattoo designs – here are ten of the most common tattoos removed:

Cursive names – these tattoos are written in the black/dark green tattoo ink and range in size from 1 inch by 1 inch to as large an across the entire torso. These tattoos are removed when a relationship is over, patient no longer wishes to have the name of their partner displayed on their body, or the tattoo no longer looks as desirable as it did in the past.

Names written in block letters – similar to cursive names, but these tattoos are generally larger, with independent letters either filled in with shaded ink or empty. These tattoos are generally larger than cursive tattoos.

Rose tattoos – these tattoos incorporate red ink with green leaves and a stem. The red ink is relatively easy to remove with a Q-switched Nd:YAG medical laser, but the green ink is significantly more difficult. These tattoos are easiest to remove when they are older (5-10 years old+) and on a part of the body that has received significant sun exposure.

Star tattoos – a very common tattoo that is either filled in or left empty. Some of these tattoos are black and some multi-colored.

Barbed wire – most common among male patients, these tattoos are often found on the upper arm in black or dark green ink. These tattoos are slightly more difficult to remove due to the challenge in maneuvering the patient’s arm to completely remove the entire band.

Tribal tattoos – there are thousands of varieties, often with high ink density and contrasting colors.

Dragons – popular among male patients, these tattoos are often on the lower leg, lower arm, and back. Some dragon tattoos can cover the entire back and may take hours for a single removal session. Black ink is the most common color, but multi-colored tattoos that are quite beautiful may also be presented for removal

Butterflies – women often present these tattoos, to be removed because the ink has faded and is no longer attractive, the body has changed shape and stretched the tattoo, or because that patient no longer feels the tattoo is part of their desired lifestyle.

Japanese/Chinese characters – presented less frequently than commonly thought – these tattoos represent some message of wise saying, personal motto, or unknown but attractively-designed character. These thick and dark letters can be difficult to remove given than they tend to be newer tattoos with high pigment density.

Tear drops – these tattoos are associated with the death of another person. They are controversial because while some tear drop tattoos are meant to indicate the death of a loved one, others represent or purport to represent that the tattooed patient has killed another individual. Tear drop tattoos are placed immediately below and to the side of the eye and are removed with caution due to the proximity to the sensitive eyes.

Before the surface heals, the skin is susceptible to infection and public pools and water are easy sources of bacteria. Also, the soaking can cause the scab to come off too soon, which can also hurt your new tattoo. So don't go get tattooed the day before that beach vacation or cruise!

Make sure you get a good night's sleep the night before your tattoo appointment and be sure to eat a good meal a hour or two ahead of time. The process of enduring being tattooed is more tiring than most people would imagine and it often stresses the body the same way vigorous activity does, even though you aren't being highly active.

Do not drink alcohol or take aspirin before you get tattooed. Both of these thin the blood and can cause you to bleed heavily during the tattoo process.

If you are going to be tattooed for a long time, make sure you have a way of getting home that is safe, or have someone else drive you. Some people become disoriented or a bit fuzzy-headed after long tattoo sessions due to the endorphin rush.

If you have any allergies to antibiotic ointments, latex or petroleum products, be sure to tell your tattoo artist BEFORE they start to do any work on you. That way they can make sure any equipment or products they might use on you will be safe.
Here are the 7 most painful places to get a tattoo...

1. Ankle of Top of the Foot- there is no meat here just literally skin and bone.
2. That special place between your navel and knees- one word: OUCH!
3. Eyebrows- again skin bone and thousands of super sensitive nerves.
4. Ribcage- either put on a little weight of forget the idea.
5. Elbow- there is nothing funny about this one
6. Eyelid- just don't. The possibility of you permanently damaging your eye are higher than the chances of you actually liking what you put there.
7. Knuckles- more because you have to keep moving these while they heal, but the actual inking part doesn't feel to hot either.

The moral of this story is- if there isn't a loft of meat/fat in the spot you pick then it's going to hurt more.Ellcie A.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06218792868065224657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6273260485558290134.post-58967812250520216332010-08-25T08:59:00.000-07:002011-02-09T23:17:44.975-08:00Skin ArtThere was a time only savages and Sailors had tattoos, now a days Soccer Moms and Politicians have them. They are beautiful pieces of art and I intend to prove to the world, or at least everyone who comes my way, that they are.

You try painting on a moving canvas! Here I will post pictures of artwork that have inspired me, been put on me or on my friends, that in cludes my fellow readers- send me a pic to post, tell me who did it and why you got it.

Thanks~ Ellcie
